• Accommodation-based step-down services supporting people towards independence
• CQC registered high-level support services for mental health recovery and resettlement
• Multiple needs supported living accommodation for people experiencing multiple disadvantages, including mental ill-health, homelessness and substance and alcohol use disorders
• Community Hubs offering safe and creative environments
• Floating support in the community helps people maintain their health and well-being, tenancies and independence

SIG has several dedicated specialist interventions for women across London, Bedfordshire, Brighton and Hove.

Our women’s services encompass community engagement through floating support, outreach, and accommodation-based projects. These services assist women experiencing multiple and complex disadvantages, including:

• Domestic abuse, sexual violence and exploitation
• Forensic mental health and personality disorder
• Women in the Criminal Justice System or at higher risk of entering it
• Single women and mothers and their children experiencing homelessness
• Substance use disorders
• Lack of self-esteem/confidence
• Complex historic and enduring trauma

In addition to supporting women directly, we support local partners in understanding gender-based trauma and share our learning through best practices.

SIG Penrose provides resettlement support for people leaving the Criminal Justice System.

Our primary focus is helping reduce reoffending and ensuring recidivism rates remain low by providing behavioural programmes that address the underlying cause of offending behaviour and help to secure accommodation and reintegrate into families and local communities.

Supported Accommodation
We are the London accommodation provider for the OPD (Offender Personality Disorder) pathway. We support men and women to reintegrate into the community and equip them with the skills and confidence to live independently. This is a high-support service commissioned by the Ministry of Justice and the NHS. Over the past five years, less than 3% of the people we have worked with have been convicted of a new offence.

SIG, as a Group of charities, offers a range of integrated support services focused on prevention, early intervention, integration and recovery for people at higher risk of losing their independence.

We provide a range of support services, interventions and opportunities through:

• Supported Accommodation
  Either temporary or longer stay projects for up to two years, with onsite staff to support people in recovering from a period of instability, to prepare them for independent living, and to offer a safe and secure home with additional help whilst focusing on asset building and becoming an active citizen.
• Housing-Related Floating Support
  A peripatetic service offering needs-based tailored support to enable independent living and successful community integration.
• Community-Based Recovery Services
  Creating community-based opportunities for people using our services and volunteers to engage in social, learning and therapeutic activities and social groups to develop skills and reintegrate into the local community.

SIG Penrose and Equinox offer a range of innovative approaches in supporting people with Personality Disorder (PD) that negatively impact their and others’ lives, serving areas across London and the South East.

We specialise in forensic personality services and provide housing and accommodation support services (HASS) in partnership with NHS England and the Ministry of Justice. Referrals are made across London for adults who are a risk to themselves or others due to their offending behaviour and personality disorder and who are likely to meet the diagnostic criteria of ‘personality disorder’.

We provide a specialist HUB for women with a diagnosed personality disorder living in the community with additional specialist support to ensure they remain engaged with services and obtain support to live independently and gain access to employment.

Services are delivered over varying terms depending on individual needs. We work flexibly, ensuring our service offers women consistency and reliability whilst promoting autonomy and choice.
